Residents across Mandalay Region marked the Full Moon Day of Thadingyut (Abhidhamma Day) by offering flowers, water, and oil lamps in devotion to the Buddha and sharing the merits of their good deeds.

Early in the morning of the full moon day, devotees presented flowers, water, oil lamps, and gold foils to the Maha Muni Buddha Image, in accordance with the health guidelines issued by the Pagoda Trustees Board.

Furthermore, pilgrims visited Shwekyeemyin Pagoda, Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, Kuthodaw Pagoda, Kyauksein (Jade) Pagoda, Candamuni Pagoda, and Aungdawmu Pagoda, where they performed acts of merit and prayed for the well-being of all beings. They were also seen reciting sermons.

In addition, following Buddhist tradition, devotees offered alms and recited Paritta, Pathana Pali verses, and the Dhammacakka Sutta. They also paid respects to parents and elderly people, praying for peace, health, and prosperity.

In the evening, locals marked the auspicious day by lighting oil lamps in dedication to the Buddha, while homes and public areas were decorated with paper lanterns and candles devotionally.
