The second round of Myanmar-Belarus Bilateral Consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus co-chaired by U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, and Mr Sergey Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, was held on the morning of 3 October 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
At the consultations, both sides exchanged views on Myanmar’s preparations for the upcoming general election, peace process, closer collaboration between the two Foreign Ministries, the enhancement of mutually beneficial cooperation, including in the spheres of defence and security, education, science and technology, culture, sports and tourism sector. In the context of regional and multilateral affairs, they exchanged views on the developments within ASEAN, EAEU, SCO, and BRICS, as well as on strengthening cooperation under these frameworks.
After the consultations, the Myanmar delegation, led by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, attended the lunch hosted by Mr Sergey Lukashevich, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.
