Union Minister for Health Professor Dr Thet Khaing Win received Under-Secretary-General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Mr Milton Xavier Castellanos Mosquera at the guest hall of the ministry yesterday afternoon.

They discussed the IFRC support for the rehabilitation of the earthquake victims via the Myanmar Red Cross Society, IFRC cooperation with the Myanmar Red Cross Society in primary healthcare, water and sanitation, humanitarian assistance provided by the Myanmar Red Cross Society, the future cooperation between the Department of Public Health under the Ministry of Health, the Myanmar Red Cross Society and the IFRC.
Deputy Minister Dr Aye Htun, President Dr Myo Nyunt of the Myanmar Red Cross Society, the Resident Representative of the IFRC Office in Myanmar, and officials from the Ministry of Health were present on the occasion.
