Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently in the Russian Federation during his working visit, met families of the Myanmar Embassy to the Russian Federation, the Military Attaché’s office, and scholarship at the embassy trainees yesterday evening.

Also, present at the meeting were Commission Secretary and Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, Commission Member and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, and delegation members, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn and his wife, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Kyaw Soe Oo and his wife, families of the embassy and the military attaché’s office, scholarship trainees and officials.

The Myanmar Ambassador and the families of the embassy and the military attaché’s office first introduced themselves to the Senior General.

Speaking on the occasion, the Senior General said that he was pleased to have had the opportunity to meet with the families of the Myanmar Embassy to the Russian Federation, the Military Attaché’s Office, and Myanmar scholarship trainees. He arrived there to attend the “World Atomic Week Forum”, which he attended yesterday in the Russian Federation, due to the invitation. Not long ago, he also attended the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2025 Plus in the People’s Republic of China, as well as the military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and World Anti-Fascist War. Participation in such international events brings beneficial outcomes for Myanmar. For the families of the Embassy and the Military Attaché’s Office, it is important to be aware of and understand the real political changes and the actual situation in the State.

It is necessary to ensure that no electoral fraud occurs in the upcoming election. To prevent errors in the voter list, the election will be conducted using the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM). These MEVMs are reliable, trustworthy, and cannot be manipulated for electoral fraud.

The objective is to ensure that the upcoming election will be free and fair, an election with dignity, and a Hluttaw with dignity. When casting votes, those chosen representatives should be the persons who can genuinely serve the interests of the nation, and they should truly uphold and practise democracy, faithfully safeguard Our Three Main National Causes, and work for the country’s betterment.

For the families of the Embassy, the Military Attaché’s Office, and the trainees, it is also important to make the right choice in selecting their representatives.

They are all serving the duties of the State and pursuing their studies in distant lands, in regions with different environments and circumstances, often amid challenges. So, they have to be loyal to themselves, their work, and the State.

As the State has invested resources to send you abroad for studies so that the nation may gain valuable human resources for its future, they must not forget the gratitude owed to the State and should contribute back to its well-being. It is also necessary to dutifully and competently fulfil their responsibilities and work in ways that will serve the future interests of the nation.

The Senior General presented foodstuffs and cash awards for families of the Embassy, the Military Attaché’s Office, and the scholarship trainees through the ambassador, the military attaché and trainees and cordially greeted them.
