The opening ceremonies for People’s Military Service Training 17 were held yesterday at various military commands. Eligible citizens attended the training in their respective regions, and the commandants of the training depots delivered opening speeches.

Chief ministers of regions and states, military commanders, and relevant officials attended the ceremonies, met with the trainees of People’s Military Service Training 17, and presented them with cash awards, food items, and essential supplies. They also offered encouragement and greetings to the trainees.

The People’s Military Service Law was enacted because every citizen has a duty to safeguard Our Three Main National Causes: Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of national solidarity, and Perpetuation of sovereignty. The law came into effect on 10 February 2024 to facilitate the organization of military training courses.

Those who have completed the People’s Military Service Training are now serving in various military units, fulfilling their responsibilities for national defence and security.
