Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint met with teachers and students at the No 1 BEHS in Nawnghkio township yesterday.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy minister highlighted the role of education for the development and stability of a nation, special emphasis of the government being placed on education and health sectors, guidance of the Head of the State to impart not only proper education but also essence of the education for knowledge and consideration to the students, and the need to practice them to be reliable ones with five essential capacities for the country.

He continued that the youths also should raise reading habits for their knowledge, follow the rules, avoid drugs, and talked about the arrangements of the government to hold multiparty democratic general election, participation of teachers and youths in holding the election and uncovering of those who disrupt the election.

He handed over the books donated by the ministry and sports gear donated by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs to the township education officer.

He inspected the IPRD office, MRTV and re-transmission station of Nawnghkio.

During the meeting with the staff of the IPRD Office in PyinOoLwin district, the deputy minister emphasized the need to perform duty in pursuit of ethics and participate in preparation for the upcoming general election.

He inspected the PyinOoLwin MRTV retransmission station and met with the staff.
