The Union Election Commission has officially designated constituencies for the 2025 multiparty democracy general election through four notifications dated 15 August 2025.

Notification 50/2025 specifies Pyithu Hluttaw constituencies, Notification 51/2025 stipulates Amyotha Hluttaw constituencies, Notification 52/2025 provides State and Region Hluttaw constituencies, and Notification 53/2025 designates State and Region Hluttaw ethnic constituencies.

According to the announcements, the election will be held under a combination of First-Past-The-Post (FPTP), Proportional Representation (PR), and Mixed-Member Proportional (MMP) systems. The Pyithu Hluttaw will have 330 FPTP constituencies. The Amyotha Hluttaw will have 84 FPTP constituencies and 26 PR constituencies, totalling 110. The State and Region Hluttaws will have 322 FPTP and 42 PR constituencies, totalling 364, while ethnic constituencies for State and Region Hluttaws will total 29.

Detailed lists of townships and areas included in each constituency will be published in state-run daily newspapers and made available on the UEC’s official website at www.uec.gov.mm.
