Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Soe Win inspected the implementation of the Kalaw Creek embankment project, the site where a suspension bridge will be constructed, the ongoing renovation works at Kalaw Railway Station, and the sand dredging activities along Kalaw Creek in Kalaw Township yesterday.
During the inspection tour, the Union minister instructed to carry out the cleanliness activities and preventive measures against floods, and urged the public to participate in these activities. He also inspected the completion of prefabricated schools donated by ASEAN through the AHA Centre at the No 8 BEPS in Aungban Township, and the peaceful learning sessions of the students.
The Union minister and party oversaw the construction of a temporary school building at the BEHS Branch (Kay Lar) in Nyaungshwe Township, and renovation works at Inlay PhaungdawU Pagoda and donated cash.
