SOCIAL security of THB752,590 for a Myanmar worker who died from injuries when a crane collapsed at a construction site on Rama II highway in Thailand has been given, the Labour Attaché Office of Myanmar (Bangkok) announced. Naing Lin Aung, holder of passport MF992899, arrived via MoU from Trade Wind Co Ltd and was working at the site of Italian Thai Development Co Ltd, died on 15 March from a crane accident.
On 5 August, the Myanmar Embassy received THB752,590 for Social Security Insurance (SSI) for the victim under the Thai Social Welfare Law. Similarly, for U Aung Naing Soe, holder of MF631265, who was electrocuted at Metal Roof Construction Co Ltd in Chachoengsao municipality, arrangements have been made to receive social security insurance from the employer and the company, the office said on 4 August.
The employer handed over THB300,000 in condolences to the families of the deceased on 4 August, in the presence of the Labour Attaché at the office, which declared that it would follow up with further information on the matters related to social benefits according to the law.
