THE Myanmar delegation, led by Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, attended the 15th International Industrial Exhibition (INNOPROM) held from 7 to 10 July in Yekaterinburg of Russia.

On 7 July, the Myanmar delegation visited the Yeltsin Museum and attended the dinner event hosted by Sverdlovsk Governor, together with Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov and other industrial ministers from over 20 countries.

On 8 July, the Union minister-led delegation observed the industrial products displayed at the exhibition and attended the opening ceremony of the International Industrial Exhibition (INNOPROM).

On 9 July, they visited the industry-related technologies booth at the event, and proceeded to Seversky Pipe Plant in Sverdlovsk to study the museum of the plant and production processes.

On 10 July, the Union minister left Yekaterinburg for Moscow, and met Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Thit Linn Ohn, officials of Tyazhpromexport (TPE) company at the lobby of the airport. During the meeting, they discussed ongoing work processes at the air purification workshop of No 2 Steel Mill (Pangpet) and measures to finalize the full operation of the Melt Shop.

The Myanmar delegation arrived back in Myanmar on 11 July.
