The Ministry of Planning and Finance held its 2025 monsoon tree-planting event yesterday within the Ministry compound, aiming to inspire public participation in environmental conservation, improve climate balance, and promote tree planting.
The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Union Minister U Win Shein for Planning and Finance, the deputy ministers, departmental heads, officials, and staff.
The Deputy Prime Minister first planted a teak tree at the designated location. The deputy ministers, along with departmental heads, officials, and staff, then collectively planted teak trees at their assigned spots as part of a national movement. Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister U Win Shein observed and offered encouragement.
The Ministry of Planning and Finance planted over 1,000 teak trees during this year’s monsoon tree-planting event.
