A combined team, including members of the Drug Enforcement Division, conducted an operation at around 7:30 am on 26 June near Kywetatsone Village in Thazi Township, Mandalay Region.
The team stopped and searched a Mitsubishi Pajero being driven by a man named Nay Lin Aung (aka) Nay Lin, who was travelling from Saikkhaung Village in Hsihseng Township, in Shan State (South), to Tatkon Township.
During the search, authorities discovered 100 blocks of heroin weighing a total of 35 kilogrammes, 52,000 stimulant tablets, and 1.1 kilogrammes of ketamine hidden in the vehicle.
Initial investigations revealed that the narcotics were being transported from Hsihseng Township to Tatkon Township. Legal action has been taken against the suspect, and further efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other individuals involved in the trafficking network, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
