Members of various organizations and residents are actively participating in the rehabilitation operations being conducted in the Mandalay earthquake-affected areas.

Yesterday, Lt-Gen Soe Tint Naing from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) inspected renovation of a quake-affected Buddha image at Shwekyetkya Pagoda and repair of roofs at the Gandakuti Chamber in Amarapura Township.

He instructed officials to repair ancient pagodas in original state and coordinated the reports of officials.

He observed removal of sangeroud buildings in Kinsanamahi and Pyigyi Myetshin wards of Chanayethazan Township with the use of heavy machinery and gave instructions on workplace safety, and he fulfilled the needs of officials.
