THE Myanmar Microfinance Association (MMFA) will conductAgricultural Loan Training Hybrid (Batch-1) from 9 am to 4 pm on 25-26 July.
It will provide special knowledge and training regarding Introduction to Agricultural Financing, Understanding the Agricultural Sector, Risk Assessment in Agricultural Lending,Loan Appraisal Process,Agricultural Loan Products and Structuring, Monitoring Agricultural Loans and Portfolio Management, Effective Client Relationship Management in Agriculture Loans, Best Practices and Innovations in Agricultural Lending, with U Thurein Htoo, Freelance Microfinance Trainer and Consultant.
The agriculture sector is the backbone of Myanmar. It is also the second largest recipient of businesses lent by microfinance institutions.
The objective behind this training is to enhance microfinance serv i c e s i n t h e a g r i c u l t u r e s e c t o r. Moreover, agribusinesses are different from other businesses. Therefore, microfinance agents need to study this distinct sector due to their unique role in delivering financial services. The training will offer how to bring financial access to those farmers and business persons engaged in the agriculture sector, and the nature of agricultural financing and its distinctness will be observed as well. This hybrid training is tailored to those engaged in the microfinance industry and those who want to pursue a career in the sector. The training fee is K120,000 for non-members.
