Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win, who is attending the Fifth Moscow International Tourism Forum being held from 10 to 15 June in Moscow at the invitation of Russian Economic Development Minister Mr Maxim Reshetnikov, observed the international tourism booths at the VDNH Park on 11 June morning.
At noon, the Union minister attended the discussion on the topic of The Role of Tourism in Preserving Historical Heritage and Strengthening International Ties. The meeting discussed the potential to implement sustainable development in the tourism sector through preserving the environment and the historical heritage.
On 12 June, the Union minister participated in the talk on the topic of Combining Spaces and Harmonizing Cultures: Cross-Border Route for Tourist Exchange held at Conference Hall 3 of VDNH. During the occasion, the Union minister discussed the Myanmar tourism sector and promising issues, tourist attractions, neighbouring countries, transnational tourism industry with the cooperation of regional organizations such as ASEAN, GMS and BIMSTECS, acceleration of tours like Buddhist Tourist Circuit, Temple Tourist Circuit, Ancient Cities Trail, Ecotourism, Medical Tourism, Cruise and Yacht Tours with the collaboration of regional countries, implementation of Welcome Russia programmes and initiation of Familiarization Trip (FAM Trip), and participation in the tourism expo of Russia.
In the evening, the Union minister joined the tour of the Sun of Moscow festival and studied the recreational arrangements for tourists and people in VDNH, the opening of restaurants and souvenir shops and the tallest skyscraper in Europe.
