Authorities arrested Phyu Phyu Hnin, who ran Treasure Hnin Online Shop, from Chanayethazan Township in Mandalay Region on 13 April 2025 and Bhone Myint Aung from Dagon Myothit (South) Township in Yangon on 8 May.
According to the investigation, cases were opened against these two offenders under Penal Code Section 505-a as they persuaded the government employees to join the Disloyalty Civil Servant (DCS) and created posts on social media to affect the State’s stability and initiate the unrest. They also distributed foreign products illegally sent by defector Chan Mya Nyein (aka) Chan Chan, a vocalist, collected the bills and provided finance to terrorist groups that the vocalist wanted to provide.
Chan Mya Nyein (aka) vocalist Chan Chan established the Facebook page named Shop Me in February 2025 and sold the accessories online without a licence, distributed these items to the country illegally, used the income for her own sake and provided to terrorist groups.
The government issues the needed orders for the trade and services to be in line with the law and declares the online sale activities as essential supplies and services. The online illegal sales in local and foreign countries without any licences and redistribution through the insurgents who illegally import cause losses to the State budget, and plans are underway to take action against Phyu Phyu Hnin and Bhone Myint Aung.
Similarly, actions are being taken against those who connect or buy or support these two methods with those who operate online sales to support the NUG and PDF terrorist groups like Eaint Poe U, owner of the Pancelo account, Irene, owner of the Ma Irene account, Thin Thin Nwe, owner of ShweNadi account, Zune Nilar Htay, owner of Zune Nilar Htay account, Aung Thaw, owner of Aung Thaw account, DCS Sayama Khaing Su Lwin, owner of Khaing Su Lwin, Htet Ni Ni Than, owner of P&H Fashion account and Chan Mya Mya Thaw, owner of Tr Chan Chan, under the Counter Terrorism Law.
Although the government makes efforts to promote State stability and development, NUG and PDF terrorists commit explosions to impose fear among the public, and some supporters of terrorists and defectors earn money through unlawful businesses to support terrorist groups. Therefore, people who connect with them, buy products, resell or support them to do so will face legal actions, and people can secretly report to the authorities regarding unlawful online sellers and buyers who intend to support terrorists, and actions will be taken against those who run illegal online sales on social media.
