The basic education schools and monastic schools for the 2025-2026 Academic Year reopened in regions and states across the nation and also in the Nay Pyi Taw Council Area yesterday, and the students peacefully attended the school.
A total of 5,822,954 students attended the schools, including basic education schools, monastic schools and private schools across the nation yesterday.
The government provides free textbooks, notebooks and stationery to all primary to high school students, and free school uniforms to KG and primary students in the 2025-2026 academic year.
Moreover, classrooms have been arranged, transport facilitated, and efforts have been made to improve the overall cleanliness and aesthetics of the schools.
The chief ministers of regions and states, including the Nay Pyi Taw Council, inspected the reopening of schools. Late enrolment remains open for students who were unable to register earlier for various reasons.
