Deputy Prime Minister, Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo, who is also the Chairman of the Government-Private Trade Promotion Council, attended the second meeting of the council yesterday.

Speaking at the event, the Deputy Prime Minister said that although there were impacts after the recent earthquake, the council held the meeting as per the scheme of once every four months to facilitate the trading sector. The work processes for the National Export Strategy 2020-2025 are nearly finalized, and efforts should be made to implement the National Export Strategy 2026-2030. The government-private organizations should together draft the Plan of Action (PoA) for the National Export Strategy 2026-2030.

He then mentioned the significant achievement of Open General Licence (OGL) between the Indian government and the council before March 2025 regarding with export of black gram.

He continued that the Union-level MSME Product Exhibition and Competition was held in February 2025, and promising products from regions and states were selected as One Region One Product, and also awarded to the entrepreneurs. He stated the benefits of the exhibition for the entrepreneurs and pledged to provide the required assistance.

Deputy Prime Minister, Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein, who is also the Council Vice-Chair, remarked, and Council Secretary Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn explained the implementation after the first meeting of the council.

Meeting attendees coordinated the discussion, and the meeting was concluded.
