THE fundraising variety show contin­ued the second day aiming at support­ing the rehabilitation of communities affected by the Mandalay earthquake, at the National Theatre in Yangon, draw­ing a large and supportive audience.

The event, organized by the Myan­mar Music Association featured perfor­mances in film, traditional dance and music. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional ministers, guests and public were in attendance.

The programme began with a doc­umentary video recounting the recent earthquake in Myanmar, along with rescue efforts, humanitarian assistance and early recovery initiatives. A mo­ment of silence was observed in tribute to those who lost lives in the disaster.

Subsequently, funds donated by the Yangon Region Government and individual donors were handed over to U Lwin Myint, Chairman of the Myan­mar Music Association to contribute to reconstruction efforts in the affected regions.

The entertainment segment fea­tured joint performances by the Plus Three Band and Immortal Band, with popular artistes including Pu Su Ma, Seng San, Mee No, Bo Bo Han, Khin Maung Htoo, Nwe Yin Win, Ni Ni Khin Zaw, Hlwan Paing, Sai Sai Kham Leng, Myo Kyawt Myaing, May Khalar, He Lay, Irene Zin Mar Myint, Kai Zar, Sithu Lwin, Chan Myae Maung Cho, Zaw Paing, L Seng Zi and Wai La. The performers captivated the audience with dynamic and heartfelt songs.
