ZOMI National Party has submitted its application to form a political party under Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law to contest in future multiparty democratic elections.

According to the Union Election Commission, a total of 74 parties have applied so far – 24 seeking new registration under Section 3 and 50 applying for continuation under Section 25. UEC is currently reviewing the Zomi National Party’s application.
