State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently on an official goodwill visit to Moscow, Russia, met Chairperson of the Federation of the Council of the Federal Assembly Ms Valentina Matviyenko yesterday.
On arrival at the Federal Assembly building, the Senior General and party were welcomed by Federal Assembly Chairperson Ms Valentina Matviyenko.
The Senior General signed the council’s visitors’ book. The Chairperson then introduced the officials to the Senior General, who also introduced his entourage.
At the meeting, the two parties openly exchanged views on cooperation between the two parliaments, the diplomatic ties of the two countries, progress in government-to-government, bilateral and people-to-people relations, further collaboration of two parliaments, enhancement in bilateral relations, exchange visits between two parliaments, preparations of State Administration Council to hold free and fair multiparty democratic general election, sending of Russian observers from the Federal Assembly to Myanmar during the election period, and establishment of bilateral relations between two parliaments when the Hluttaw is reconstituted in Myanmar.
The Senior General was accompanied by Joint Secretary General Ye Win Oo and delegation members, the Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation, and officials from the Office of Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) while the Speaker was accompanied by relevant officials of the council.
Afterwards, the Senior General posed for a documentary photo together with the Chairperson and attendees.
