REPORTS claiming that airstrikes were conducted on villages in Kalay Township, Sagaing Region, have been widely circulated by malicious news media, which spread misinformation.

A security official in the area stated that terrorists targeted security forces, who were carrying out their duties of territorial security, and launched drone and bomb attacks on villages and neighbourhoods, destroying areas of refuge within the villages.

Reports suggest that subversive news media intentionally fabricated this story to conceal terrorist activities and mislead the public about the actions of security forces.
