THE Tatmadaw Thanlwin naval hospital vessel, with a team of doctors, specialists, and nurses provided healthcare services to locals from the Taninthayi coastal region, Yangon Region’s Cocokyun Township and Ayeyawady Region’s Hainggyikyun.
The vessel arrived at Zadetgyi Island, Kawthoung of Taninthayi Region, and offered healthcare services to 98 locals at Salone Home for the Aged at Dhammikarama TatU monastery, yesterday.
They treated 33 people for general health issues, 11 for surgery-related ailments, five for Obstetrical and gynaecological issues, five for pediatric illnesses, eight for orthopaedic diseases, five for ear, nose and throat disorders, 13 for eye diseases and 18 for dental issues.
Among them, eight X-ray patients, nine patients examined using ECG machines and four patients undergoing laboratory tests were provided with necessary medical treatment.
Two patients in need of hospital care were sent to the nearest Tatmadaw hospitals for further treatment.
