Two Tatmadaw vessels — the Shwepuzun and the Saku — arrived in Dhaminseik village, Pyapon Township, Pyapon District, with Tatmadaw doctors, specialists and medical officers to provide healthcare services to the locals.
The team based itself at the Sutaungpyae AnnawaU Pagoda and conducted health services for 552 locals from the town and surrounding villages.
The services included treatments for 91 individuals with general illnesses, 18 with surgical conditions, 21 with obstetric or gynaecological issues, 50 with paediatric diseases, 143 with orthopaedic issues, 42 with ENT conditions, 146 with eye diseases and 41 with dental problems.
In turn, nine general surgery patients underwent procedures while one received eye surgery, 17 patients received X-ray tests, 12 were tested in ultrasound and 23 had ECGs performed to assess heart conditions. Furthermore, 40 patients underwent laboratory testing.
