ACTOR Aye Chan Maung donated K1 million to the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization (MMPO) to support its plan to distribute rice, cooking oil, and other food supplies as a New Year donation to members of the film industry, according to MMPO Vice-Chairman U Aye Kyu Lay.
MMPO plans to provide rice and food supplies for the 15th time to its members in January 2025. Film industry members and donors have been reportedly contributing monetary and food donations to make this possible.
“MMPO will distribute rice and foodstuffs to film industry members as a New Year donation for the 15th time. For this purpose, U Kyauk Taung donated K1 million, actor Naw Phaw Eh Htar contributed K3 million, and actor Aye Chan Maung donated K1 million. Film industry members and donors continue their contributions,” said U Aye Kyu Lay.
Previously, MMPO organized its 14th distribution event from 3 to 6 April 2024. During the event, sector-wide members of the movie industry received rice, cooking oil, and foodstuffs.
