The foundation of achieving military victory lies in the discipline and obedience of every soldier. Just as discipline serves as the backbone of the armed forces, obedience is also a hallmark of an exemplary soldier.
It is essential to control subordinates fairly and justly, free from corruption, with bold and decisive decisions, accountability, and responsibility.
The strength of the Tatmadaw fundamentally relies on unity and cohesion. Therefore, as long as unity prevails within the military units, no one will be able to disband or disrupt them.
As the role of leaders is crucial in any organization, organizations must cultivate capable and reliable leaders while continuously striving to improve their qualities.
About providing effective leadership, the graduate cadets were urged to continuously enhance their knowledge and skills in line with the advancements of the times, maintaining integrity, honesty, and a high standard of moral conduct.
Leaders at different levels have to build unity within military units. In doing so, responsibilities and commands must be assigned equitably and fairly, guided by proper leadership and governance rooted in an understanding of human nature. This will establish a solid foundation for the organization.
Protecting the lives, homes, and property of the people, providing healthcare services, and assisting with rescue and support during natural disasters are practical acts of mobilization and engagement with the public.
Carrying out military organizational tasks is an essential duty undertaken for the benefit of the nation and its ethnic peoples. Therefore, all female military officers have to approach these responsibilities with great diligence and commitment.
Soldiers must conduct themselves following the 60 military codes of conduct, adhere to military and civil laws, and comply with the laws of war, including the Geneva Conventions, which are internationally recognized and practised, as well as rules of engagement in conflict situations.
