SUBVERSIVE media outlets spread false claims that a woman was killed and 12 residential buildings were destroyed in an aerial bombardment on Moehnaungkhin village, located in Taungtha Township, Mandalay Region, on 10 December.

In response to these reports, relevant security officials have clarified that the information is false. They confirmed that security forces consistently carry out necessary activities to ensure the people of Taungtha Township can live in peace. There were no bombings; instead, terrorists used drones and heavy weapons to instil fear in the people of villages and quarters that did not support them. The circulation of such false news by media outlets is intended to cover up terrorists’ actions and mislead the public about the role ofsecurity forces.
