A ceremony to provide donations of funds, animal feedstuffs, and medicines for livestock affected by the recent floods was held yesterday afternoon at the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation’s Office No 36 in Nay Pyi Taw.
Present at the event were Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi, officials from relevant departments, the chairman of the Myanmar Livestock Federation, and representatives from the affiliated associations.
At the ceremony, Dr Mya Han, Chairman of the Myanmar Livestock Federation, delivered a speech explaining the donation process, followed by a message of appreciation from Deputy Minister Dr Aung Gyi.
During the donation proceedings, the Myanmar Livestock Federation contributed K200 million in cash and K8 million worth of animal feed. Additionally, Myanmar Sun Thiri Company donated K60 million worth of 18 types of animal medicine, while Fortune International Limited offered K38.78 million worth of drugs and medical supplies. The deputy minister and officials formally accepted the donations, which will be handed over to the Central Natural Disaster Management Committee for distribution to flood-stricken areas.
