THE Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Mayor U Maung Maung of the Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee yesterday left for Laos to participate in the Meeting of Governors and Mayors of ASEAN Capitals (MGMAC 2024) and ASEAN Mayors Forum (AMF 2024) to be held from 18 to 19 September.

The event aims to strengthen regional cooperation and foster collective action for sustainable city development.

The governors of ASEAN countries, the mayor of Dili of Timor Leste will attend the event as observers, and relevant officials of UN agencies, NGOs, strategic partner countries, ASEAN ambassadors, representatives from the ASEAN Secretary-General office, Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN and international organizations.
