The opening ceremony of the Mekong-ROK Documentary Film Incubator Workshop for Mekong Film Festival (2024) (traditional sports and food) initiated under the Mekong-Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF) was organized at Novotel Yangon Max Hotel in Yangon yesterday.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan said the documentary film incubator workshop will be held in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and Laos, including Myanmar, aiming at boosting culture and tourism through traditional sports and food. Moreover, such a move can promote mutual understanding and values. The exchange of different cultures is human nature and diplomatic ties among the countries.
She then highlighted the new experiences and tastes received from enjoying different traditional sports and cultures, understanding the heritage and culture of each sport and food, supportive measures in friendships and strategic cooperation among Mekong-ROK through the Mekong Film Festival.
Then, the students of the National University of Arts and Culture (Yangon) performed Myanmar traditional dance, and the event was concluded.
During the workshop, the experts from Cambodia, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos discussed the effective measures for documentary film incubators.
