ACCORDING to the Myanmar Police Force, drugs worth over K2.4 billion were seized in Yangon Region and Mandalay Region.

On 8 September, a combined anti-narcotics team arrested Tun Tun Myint in Ward 41, Dagon Myothit (North) Township, along with psychotropic drugs, including one kilogramme of ketamine and 105 grammes of Happy Water. His accomplice, Ba Thar Zan, was also arrested in Ward 41 (extension) of Dagon Myothit (North) Township. Based on their confessions, the team searched Tun Tun Myint’s house on Sagawah Street, Ward 41, Dagon Myothit (North) Township, where they found 980,000 stimulant tablets and 50 grammes of heroin.

On 12 September, the team also apprehended Hla Shwe and Zaw Min Naing with 920,000 stimulant tablets in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay Region. In total, the authorities seized one kilogramme of ketamine, 105 grammes of Happy Water, 1.9 million stimulant tablets, and 50 grammes of heroin, with a combined value of over K2.41 billion. Legal action has been taken under the drug and anti-money laundering laws.
