CERTAIN subversive media outlets are spreading false claims that Tatmadaw (Air) dropped bombs on the monastery in Pyatthetgyi village, Taungtha Township, Mandalay Region, without conflict, causing damage to pagodas.

According to official sources and locals, this information is incorrect. During the Counter-Terrorism Operation, Tatmadaw is targeting only areas where terrorists are reported to be hiding, based on information from residents seeking peace. The damage to pagodas is attributed to terrorists themselves, who have been known to attack sacred Buddhist sites using backhoes, taking refuge in pagodas during fights, and dropping bombs. Locals are aware of these acts of terrorism. The subversive media, which supports terrorism, is spreading false information to obscure terrorists’ actions and mislead the public about Tatmadaw.
