A level-1 fire broke out at Shwelinpan Industrial Zone in Ward 54, western Hlinethaya Township, Yangon Region, according to a statement released by the Fire Brigade.

The fire began at approximately 4:43 am on 16 September. In response, three fire trucks from the Northern District Fire Station, four from Hlinethaya Township Fire Station, one from Shwepyitha Township Fire Station, and two from Insein Township Fire Station were despatched to tackle the blaze.

By 5:05 am, although the fire had started to die down, the level-1 fire response team continued their efforts to extinguish it entirely. The fire was brought under control by 5:27 am and wholly extinguished by 5:39 am.

The fire brigade will conduct further investigations into the cause of the fire and assess the damage.
