DUE to the impact of Typhoon Yagi, which has caused flooding and flash floods, telecommunication service providers deliver assistance as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives for those affected.

In response to the severe rains and river flooding, mobile phone users in the affected areas will receive the following support. Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (MPT) offers free phone calls with a 700-minute allowance and 700 complimentary text messages. Meanwhile, ATOM Myanmar provides free phone calls with a 500-minute allowance and 500 complimentary text messages. Likewise, Ooredoo Myanmar extends unlimited free phone calls and unlimited complimentary text messages. MYTEL also grants 1,000 minutes of free phone calls and 1,000 complimentary text messages. These services will be available for seven days from 13 September 2024.
