SUBVERSIVE media outlets are spreading false news claiming that underage youths were forcibly recruited for the fifth intake of the People’s Military Service by using fake Citizenship Scrutiny Cards in Pauktaw village-tract, Okpo Township in Bago Region.

This recent news is entirely false. These unfounded claims are being propagated by subversive media outlets with the malicious intent of intimidating the public and misleading the youth. It is important to note that the fifth intake of the People’s Military Service is ongoing successfully, and the dedicated soldiers who have completed each intake are now diligently serving defence and security duties the country in various battalions. The People’s Military Service Law is a clearly established legal framework, and necessary summoning teams have been set up at regional, state, district, and township levels to ensure strict adherence to its provisions.
