Through their social media pages, Myanmar embassies in some countries have made announcements on changes of Myanmar passport fees as of this month.
Myanmar Embassy in the Republic of South Korea will raise the passport extension charge to 55,000 Korean won from 48,000 Korean won as of 1 September.
In Japan, the passport extension fee will change to 6,000 yen from 5,000 yen on 1 September, and the fine for expired passports and lost passports will remain unchanged.
Similarly, the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore will change the passport extension fee to SGD65 from SGD60, taking effect from 1 September. However, an SGD125 fine for a lost passport, an SGD35 fine for an expired or damaged passport, and an SGD45 fine for a passport that has been valid for more than a year will remain unchanged.
In the Philippines, the Myanmar passport extension fee will change to US$40 from $35 as of 1 September, and the embassy has set a $105 fine for a lost passport.
Embassies in other countries have also made similar announcements.
