SENIOR General Min Aung Hlaing stressed the need to consider long-term plans for peace and stability of the regions and secure and smooth transport measures.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing highlighted this during his inspection tour, emphasizing peace and stability in the region in the Central Command area yesterday morning.
At the meeting hall of the Central Command Headquarters, the Senior General, accompanied by Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Htein Win, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, Union-level dignitaries and senior Tatmadaw officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, heard reports by Commander Brig-Gen Kyaw Ko Htaik on taking security measures in the command area, attempts of some EAOs and PDF terrorists to jeopardize peace and stability of the region, killing innocent people, blowing up public transport routes, bridges and railways in addition to telecom powers, and continuous undertakings of Tatmadaw and MPF members in serving security duties for ensuring peace and stability of the region.
In his discussions, the Senior General underlined that it is necessary to systematically carry out peace and stability in the regions in order to ensure the safety of life and property of the people. People’s militia, war veterans and members of the Myanmar Police Force have to join hands in serving security and stability duties of relevant regions. Senior General Min Aung Hlaing stressed the need to consider long-term plans for peace and stability of the areas and secure and smooth transport measures. He noted that it is necessary to enhance the capacity and capability of Tatmadaw and MPF members and people’s militia. The Senior General gave guidance on the need to continuously take information about security and the restoration of security, peace, and stability in other regions.
At the local Tatmadaw hospital in the royal Mandalay City, the Senior General comforted Tatmadaw members, MPF members, and people’s militia receiving medical treatments for their injuries sustained in serving the State’s defence and security duties and asked them about suffering wounds, and healing of injuries and diseases individually. The Senior General fulfilled the needs reported by Tatmadaw and MPF member patients.
He then presented cash awards and gifts to those patients.
The wife of the Senior General and party also comforted families of Tatmadaw members receiving medical treatment at the female ward of the hospital and presented cash awards and gifts.
The Senior General asked officials about the hospital’s requirements and attended to their needs.
