A relief flight of Myanmar Airways International landed at Yangon International Airport yesterday with 165 nationals who wanted to return home as they were facing difficulties in Malaysia. The returnees have to stay the 14-day quarantine at specific places or designated hotels after immigration processes and medical tests, followed by the 7-day home quarantine, which were arranged by the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region government.
In accordance with the directives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Myanmar embassy in Kuala Lumpur is also working together with the respective organizations to repatriate the citizens who have no valid documents and who were kept at the detention centres after verifying their citizenship.
