The Embassy of Myanmar in Seoul of the Republic of Korea managed to bring 108 Myanmar citizens back home by a relief flight of Myanmar Airways International, and it landed at Yangon International Airport yesterday evening.

Among them, 1 Myanmar national was from Brazil while another 1 each from Czech Republic, France, India, Italy and Sri Lanka, 3 each from Canada, Germany and Norway, 4 from Indonesia, 72 from Korea, 2 from UK, 10 from US and 5 from Viet Nam.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region government provided them with proper medical tests and arranged 14-day quarantine at specific places or designated hotels, followed by the 7-day home quarantine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been working with Myanmar embassies in foreign countries and local ministries concerned to bring back citizens stranded abroad due to the suspension of international commercial flights, in accordance with the guidance of the National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of COVID-19. Myanmar has organized 23 relief flights to date to bring its citizens stuck in foreign countries via Incheon International Airport every Tuesday.
