STATE Administration Council Member Daw Dwe Bu visited Myitkyina Township in Kachin State yesterday to inspect the rehabilitation processes and relief items.

The SAC member, the Kachin State chief minister and relevant officials went to the temporary camp for flood victims at Maha Aungmyay Shwebo Monastery in Rampu Ward of Myitkyina. The SAC member provided ten bags of rice for over 1,000 people from 187 households, while the chief minister and his wife and the minister for Kachin State Security and Border Affairs donated 35 cartons of instant noodles, three cartons of canned fish and one bag of chickpeas, and rice boxes by the minister for Kachin State Ethnic Affairs.

The SAC member highlighted the rescue work and rehabilitation activities conducted in Kachin State, warmly greeted the people and inspected the healthcare services.

She also met flood victims at No 1 BEHS (Branch) in Rampu Ward and comforted them.

During the meeting, the SAC member and party donated foodstuffs and the health staff providing healthcare services to flood victims.

Moreover, the SAC member and party attended the cash and food donation ceremony to the Kachin State Natural Disaster Management Committee at Manaw Shwepyi Hall.

At the event, the SAC member highlighted the proper cooperation in overcoming the record-breaking river water level.

SAC Member Daw Dwe Bu also received K20 million and foodstuffs donated by the Myitkyina Yunnan Buddhist Temple and Hongxin Company.
