ACCORDING to the Taninthayi Region Tourism Committee’s work coordination meeting (3/2024) held on 2 July, boat competitions and travel festivals are scheduled to be held on the islands during the upcoming travel season to attract visitors to the region.

Relevant officials are making all necessary preparations to ensure the success of the coming travel season. Efforts are also underway to establish connections with Thailand to facilitate Thai travellers visiting Myanmar during this period.
