THE combined team, comprising security force members, arrested 12 suspects involved in online gambling in Pyigyidagun Township of Mandalay Region on 27 June.

The team raided Ko Htin Shan’s house in (Ga Gyi) ward, between 61st and 62nd streets, 117th Street in Pyigyidagun, and arrested 12 suspects, including Htin Shan, aged 32, owner of the house (who rents to suspects), and other participants in online gambling manager Yan Win Myint (aka) Kyan Wang Yi, aged 21 from NanOoLwin ward of Patheingyi, supervisor Law Kwin Kywan, aged 26 from Kyonshan village in Laukkai, staff Zin Mar Htwe (aka) Yin Yone, aged 19 from Ward 4 of Tarmoenye together with six laptops, 63 handphones, K11 million, six ID cards and other materials.

Similarly, the combined team comprising security force members raided the house located at No Ma-3/232 in Parset Ward of Tachilek Township in Shan State (East) on 28 June. It arrested the undocumented 295 Chinese nationals, 288 males and seven females, together with 900 phones and other gambling-related materials.

Twelve Myanmar citizens and 295 Chinese who are involved in online gambling will face legal action under the law.
