ACCORDING to Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law, Socio-Economic Promotion Party, which wants to establish a political party in order to compete in the multiparty democratic general election, applied yesterday to the Union Election Commission for the right to develop a political party under the law and regulations.

To date, 17 parties have applied under Section 3 of the Political Parties Registration Law, and 50 parties have applied for the right to continue as political parties and registration under Section 25 of the Political Parties Registration Law, bringing the total to 67 parties.

The Union Election Commission continues to verify the right to establish and register these parties.
