MALICIOUS media outlets are spreading fake stories alleging that security forces arrested 59 locals from Htivwar village who were returning home after seeking temporary refuge due to fighting incidents in Hsihseng Township, Shan State (South).
The actual situation is that residents of Hsihseng Township fled their homes due to violent acts committed by PNLA terrorists in the area. In response, local Tatmadaw members, in collaboration with local militia and residents, conducted necessary security operations to restore peace and stability. Consequently, indigenous people have been able to return, and relevant officials have reportedly supported efforts for their rehabilitation. The claim that security forces arrest local people is entirely false, as confirmed by a security official in the region.
The houses of Hsihseng’s locals were burnt down due to terror acts by PNLA terrorists, disrupting their peaceful daily lives. Residents are known to be protesting against PNLA’s terrorist actions, while subversive media outlets continue to circulate false claims to serve their propaganda purposes.
