MYANMAR embassy in Singapore organized a relief flight in bringing the nationals back home.

The 17th special flight of Myanmar National Airlines landed at Yangon International Airport with 148 citizens who were stranded in Singapore due to suspension of international flights.

A relief flight of Myanmar Airways International arranged by the Myanmar embassy in the Manila brought back 10 citizens in the Philippines and other 22 Myanmar seamen landed in the Philippines after they worked on the MV Alonissos of the Sea Traders S.A shipping company in Greece. The flight arrive in Yangon in the afternoon.

As they arrived in Yangon, officials from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports, and the Yangon Region government helped for their 21-day quarantine period in line with the regulations of immigration and medical checks.

For the repatriation of Myanmar citizens who were stranded in foreign countries by relief flights and chartered flights in accordance with the instructions from National-Level Central Committee on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective countries.
