THE false news is spreading on the malicious media outlets claiming that the security forces detained two monks as human shields from the new Hintha village of Madaya Township in Mandalay Region at 3 pm on 7 June.

The actual event was that PDF terrorists were near the village, attempting to collect money and recruit new members forcibly. As a result, villagers had to evacuate the area. Responsible citizens reported the situation, prompting security forces to provide security for the area.

Terrorists took cover near houses and began shooting. An exchange of fire ensued between security forces and terrorists. Subsequently, terrorists fled, and there were no monks present at the monasteries. According to the relevant security official, the monks had temporarily left the monasteries at that time, leaving only two elderly individuals (monastery guards) behind.

Subversive media outlets are intentionally circulating false claims based on events to disrupt security measures of the security forces aimed at maintaining peace and tranquillity among the public. Their goal is to create misunderstandings between security forces and citizens.
