A total of 17 sections will be included in the collection of damage lists due to natural disasters.

U Em Hla Thaung, deputy director of the management department of the Yangon City Development Committee, spoke at the training held on 4 June aiming to ensure that there are no discrepancies in the accounts in order to make it systematic and uniform in the collection of damage and loss accounts by relevant sectors at the time of natural disasters.

According to the information to be collected, there are 17 sections, and section three is related to all departments. The remaining sections must be collected separately according to the relevant ministry.

The Yangon City Development Committee and Yangon Region Development Committee are involved in four or five sectors out of the 17 list of damage, so the State Central Statistics Team is coming to give a separate lecture and explanation, the deputy head of the Planning Department added.

Officials of the Yangon Region Central Statistics Office must list the sectors embodied in the enumeration form for natural disaster risk information, such as residential buildings, including the affected households and population, damage to the government sector, damage to the private sector, and damage to the education sector thanks to the effort of the relevant ministries.

Damage to the health sector, damage to the religious sector, damage to property, damage to land and crops, damage to animals, and damage to roads and bridges must also be collected with the help of the respective ministries. — TWA/KZL
