Tak District in Thailand provided assistance worth of over 200,000 Thai Baht for quarantine centres in Kayin State. The donation ceremony was held online on 8 September in BCF Zone of Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge (2).
Thai Ambassador to Myanmar Mrs Suphatra Srimaitreephithak delivered the opening speech and Kayin State Minister for Electricity and Industry U Soe Hlaing said words of thanks at the online ceremony.
Administrator of Tak District Mr Unsit Sampuntharat and Administrator of Myawady District U Tay Zar Aung explained the cooperation of two border towns and COVID-19 control measures.
Myawady Border Traders Association Chairperson Daw Thin Thin Myat handed over the assistance on behalf of Tak District, and Myawady District Administrator U Tay Zar Aung received the donation.
The donations included bed sheets, pillows, blankets, mosquito nets, water purifier, washing machines, canned fish and snacks, all worth of 200,050 Thai Baht.
