A relief flight of MNA (Myanmar National Airlines) from Bangkok, arranged by Myanmar Embassy in the capital of Thailand, landed at Yangon International Airport last night, bringing 60 Myanmar nationals back home.
As they arrived in the Yangon International Airport, the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports and the Yangon Region government arranged proper medical checkups and 21-day quarantine for the returnees.
Similarly, another relief flight of MNA (Myanmar National Airlines) from Cairo, arranged by Myanmar Embassy in the capital of Egypt, will land at Yangon International Airport on 10 September morning. The relief flight will bring 128 Myanmar nationals back home.
For the repatriation of Myanmar citizens who were stranded in foreign countries by relief flights and chartered flights in accordance with the instructions from National-Level Central Committee on Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs cooperated with the relevant ministries and Myanmar embassies from respective countries.
