THE Forest Department has initiated knowledge-sharing programmes focusing on forest and biodiversity preservation in cities and towns nationwide since late April.
U Mya Aung, assistant director of the Forest Department of Mandalay District, stated that these programmes are tailored for middle school and high school students during the summer holidays. They aim to impart knowledge on preserving the forest ecosystem and demonstrate systematic plantation techniques.
The seminars and demonstrations involve participation from officers and staff of Forest Departments from various states and regions, as well as principals, supervisors, teachers, and students.
